We are a progressive dairy, always looking for solutions to continue with organic farming practices to leave the land better than we found it.
With plans to expand in the next 5 years, we are looking to grow our team.
The Assistant Calf Manager will work 1:
1 with the Farm Manager to ensure the best quality care is given to the calves that grow to be our future herd.
Daily, you will be tasked with a Morning and short Afternoon shift which will include, feeding calves, record keeping, vaccinating, identifying illness, and working with our Farm Manager to ensure the best care possible is given to the calves.
You will have the benefit of an extended break in the day, typically 3-4 hours long.
This position is physical and will be year round in the elements.
Prior dairy or animal care is preferred, farm equipment experience preferred but not required.
Reliable transportation is a must.
